Through these Photoshop edits, my intention was to vividly integrate the past with the present, combining both parts into one. By layering the old over the new, I aimed to create a cohesive and interconnected narrative, emphasising the continuity of time, where the old and the new coexist, offering viewers a unique perspective on the joining of different eras within a single composition.
The contrast of inverting the colours symbolises the shift between different periods and highlights the changes that come with age. This also contributes to a sense of unity within the image. By applying this technique across the whole image, it reinforces the idea of their interconnectedness, as viewers are unable to tell the difference between past and present.
